GETTING TO HELSINKI:
BY PLANE: Helsinki Airport consistently ranks among the best airports in the world and serves around 350 flights a day to locations around the world.
The journey time between the airport and city centre is around 30 minutes.
How to get from the airport to the city center
- Commuter trains I and P are a fast and convenient way of travelling between the city centre and the airport. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From the train station at Helsinki Airport you can walk directly to your terminal without having to go outside. To get to or from the airport, you will need an ABC ticket. Single tickets and day tickets can be purchased using the HSL mobile app or from HSL ticket machines, R-kiosks and many other sales points throughout the city. Tickets cannot be purchased onboard commuter trains.
- By bus:
Buses 415N, 431N, 562, 570 and 600 also operate between the airport and city centre. To get to or from the airport, you will need an ABC ticket, which you can purchase from HSL ticket machines, HSL mobile app or sales points like R-kiosk. - By taxi:
The journey between Helsinki Airport and the city centre by taxi takes approximately 20 minutes and costs around €40-45.
BY TRAIN:
- There are excellent train connections to Helsinki from all major towns in Finland as well as Lapland. The Central Railway Station is located in the centre of the city, and is a landmark of Helsinki in itself.
BY FERRY:
There are daily ferry services to Helsinki from Tallinn, Estonia by Tallink Silja Line, Viking Line and Eckerö Line and to Stockholm, Sweden by Tallink Silja Line and Viking Line. Helsinki can also be reached by ferry from Germany by Finnlines. All the ferry companies also offer the possibility to take a car with you. Trams are a convenient way to get to ferry terminals:
West Terminal (Länsiterminaali): trams 7 and 9
Olympic Terminal (Olympiaterminaali): trams 2 and 3
Katajanokka Terminal (Katajanokan terminaali): tram 4 and 5
BY BUS:
Buses from all around Finland arrive to the central bus station at Kamppi, from the largest cities approximately every hour. The Kamppi bus station is centrally located and can also be reached by metro.

Finlandia Hall was built 50 years ago based on design by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. It has now gone through the renovation during the years 2022-2024 in order to receive the value it deserves.
Finlandia Hall is a versatile event centre in the middle of the centre of Helsinki. The house combines architecture, design, functionality and atmosphere in a unique way.
Getting to the venue: Easy and frequent public transport connections from the airport, bus and train stations. Tram and bus stop Kansallismuseo is in the immediate vicinity of the house. The main Helsinki train station is 10 minutes on foot from the venue, connecting the city center and the airport.
